4th Congress of Provincial Ethnic Minorities 2024 opens

The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Khanh Hoa Province 2024 themed "Equality, solidarity, innovation, integration and development of ethnic minorities in Khanh Hoa Province" opened in Nha Trang City on October 11.

Present at the event were Y Vinh Tor, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister, Vice-Chairman of the Ethnic Committee; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Tran Manh Dung, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tran Thu Mai, Chairperson of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee together with former provincial leaders and members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, representatives of some neighboring provinces and 200 delegates representing more than 82,000 ethnic minorities in the province.

The Congress focused on comprehensive assessment of ethnic work and implementation of national solidarity in the 2019-2024 period; and set out goals, directions and tasks for the 2024-2029 period.

Over years, thanks to the correct policies and guidelines of the Party and State on ethnic minorities and the implementation of ethnic policies; the efforts of Party Committees and local authorities at all levels, along with ethnic minorities’ efforts, ethnic minority areas have seen remarkable socio-economic development. The rural appearance of ethnic minority communities and mountainous areas has improved; poverty has been reduced sustainably; contributing to strengthening the great national solidarity and unity.
