Promoting the youth’s enthusiasm and volunteerism

Over the past 5 years, youth action programs and campaigns across Khanh Hoa Province have been effectively implemented by Khanh Hoa Provincial Youth Federation at all levels, providing an environment for young people to thrive and promote their enthusiasm, volunteerism, creativity and commitment to the local socio-economic development and national defense.

Environment for young people to practice and thrive

In the period of 2019 - 2024, despite difficulties, the Provincial Youth Federation and localities have effectively implemented campaigns and programs to create an environment for training, including the political and ideological education of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought; Party and Youth Union resolutions, State policies and laws via various ways, on websites and mass media.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Federation, in the past term, educational programs on promoting young people’s patriotism, self-reliance, sense of responsibility in socio-economic development and national defense with 124 activities towards marine borders, seas, and islands; more than 40 forums and seminars on "the youth follow Uncle Ho's teachings" with the participation of 5,500 members and young people, providing good opportunities for them to study, practice and thrive.

Volunteering for  community’s sake

Voluntary activities for social security have been widely organized by the Youth Federation at all levels, attracting a large number of members and young people. The Youth Federation at all levels have mobilized members, young people, businesses and individuals to support students and residents in mountainous districts, and remote areas..; build houses; provide meritorious services and medical examinations for those in need; increase communication and training to raise awareness of environmental protection and climate change response through activities responding to "Earth Hour", "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday" and so on.

Khanh Hoa Youth Union and Youth Federation implement a youth project "Spratly Island in my heart" at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted.

The Provincial Youth Federation in partnership with relevant agencies has organized a beach-clean-up campaign to preserve nature, reduce environmental pollution, mitigate climate change impacts, raise public awareness of environmental protection and support fishermen in need to stabilize their lives and cling to the fishing grounds.

Business start-up support 

According to Tran Anh Tuan, every year, the Provincial Youth Union and Youth Federation coordinate with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to organize activities to support young people with business start-ups and labor market information. The Provincial Youth Federation established the Youth Startup Support Center, and organized many activities such as Youth Startup Forum; connecting entrepreneurs and Khanh Hoa Young Entrepreneurs’ Association to implement youth startup support programs.

The Provincial Youth Federation at all levels has implemented several activities on business start-ups; admission and enrolment consultancy; scientific and technological transfer; organized startup idea competitions; supported young people to access economic development loans; developed clubs of young businessmen; held forums for young businessmen; and activities to honor typical young people with business efficiency.

"In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Federation will continue to promote the spirit of creativity, and responsibility for national development and defense; implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress in conjunction with Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo; cultivate generations that are patriotic, responsible, ethical, moral, skilled, creative and confident in international integration," said Tran Anh Tuan.
