Van Ninh District:
Roadwork to improve urban appearance

Van Ninh District People's Council, Khanh Hoa Province has passed a Resolution approving Tran Duong extended road project in principle. This project meets residents’ aspirations and contributes to traffic safety and socio-economic growth.

Tran Duong Street (Van Gia Town) has been invested and renovated running from National Highway 1 to Van Gia 3 Primary School. However, the remaining section connecting to Tran Hung Dao Street, less than 200m long, has not been constructed, leading to some inconveniences.

Tran Duong Street has been invested in a section running from National Highway 1 to Van Gia 3 Town Primary School.

Tran Duong Street is where households have been living for several years on farming and fishing. The area proposed for the roadwork runs through the houses. Along the length of the planned route, Tran Duong Street intersects with the main roads such as D Street and Tran Hung Dao Street. Infrastructures on the route have not been invested.

The investment in this route aims to contribute to improving the urban traffic infrastructures of the 1/500 scale detailed planning project of Luong Hai Residential Area approved by competent authorities, painting a brighter picture of Van Gia Town in particular and Van Ninh District in general, facilitating traffic and synchronizing technical infrastructures, ensuring long-term sustainable development.

According to the decision approving the investment policy, Tran Duong road project has 2 lanes with the drainage system complying with the approved detailed planning project at a scale of 1/500 of Luong Hai Residential Area. The route has 3m wide sidewalks, a lighting system and road traffic signs. The project is 175m long, with a total investment of nearly VND28 billion invested in the period of 2025-2026.

The project is consistent with the General Planning for the Construction of Van Phong Economic Zone to 2040, with a vision to 2050 and consistent with the adjustment of land use planning to 2030 and the first-year of Van Ninh District adjusted land use planning.

In the coming time, the District People's Committee will assign the functional unit to carry out related investment procedures. Although this project is short in length and the value of the construction package is not much, the investment cost is high due to the expenses required for site clearance. When completed, the project is expected to enhance the appearance of Van Gia urban area, improve traffic safety and contribute to local socio-economic development, according to Nguyen Thanh Son, Vice-Chairman of Van Ninh District People's Committee.
