Early actions to take to respond to storms

Khanh Hoa Provincial Red Cross coordinated with the Central Vietnam Red Cross Society to organize communication on "Early action to respond to wind and storms" for 3 days (November 8, 12 and 13) for people in 5 communes of Khanh Vinh District, Khanh Hoa Province. This is within the Vietnam Red Cross’ Emergency Capacity Building Project framework by the US Agency for International Development.

Communications on actions to respond to storms.

250 people representing the 5 communes of Khanh Trung, Khanh Hiep, Khanh Binh, Khanh Dong, Khanh Phu were provided knowledge about early action based on forecasts; types of natural disasters likely to occur in the locality and how to prevent and respond; instructions on some methods of bracing houses before the storm season... The communication session aimed to raise public awareness of natural disaster prevention and control.

The project communication continued to reach 3 communes in Khanh Vinh District and 2 communes and wards in Cam Ranh City on November 14 to 16.
