Numerous meaningful New Year activities for laborers to be held

Khanh Hoa Labor Confederation has just issued a plan to celebrate Lunar New Year for members and laborers 2025 with numerous meaningful activities. To confirm its role and responsibility, Khanh Hoa Trade Union at all levels has prepared for the coming Lunar New Year celebration 2025, dedicated to making sure all laborers will have a holiday of joy and comfort.

According to Phan Thanh Liem, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, this year, Khanh Hoa Trade Union at all levels will continue to organize the Lunar New Year get-together program 2025 and Trade Union New Year Market. Leaders of the province and local departments and agencies will visit Trade Union members and laborers and listen to laborers’ opinions, wish them a happy new year and thank them for accompanying businesses and localities to overcome difficulties; give gifts to those in need, suffering from work accidents, occupational diseases, or unable to come home during the Tet Holiday; organize a support program for fishermen "Clinging to fishing grounds" on the occasion of the first fishing trip at the beginning of the year, etc.

Furthermore, the Trade Union at all levels will boost dialogue and negotiation with businesses on improving care and providing travel grants for needy members and employees to return home to enjoy the Lunar New Year holiday with their families; and cooperate with businesses to have plans for safe journeys back to work after the holiday.

The Trade Union at all levels will get laborers’ expectations and aspirations for having prompt solutions or proposals to the upper level for consideration; cooperate with enterprises to build plans on the payment of the year-end salaries, bonuses and benefits and monitor the implementation to prevent labor disputes; and cooperate with businesses to have plans on safe journeys back to work after the holiday.

The funding of New Year activities for Trade Union members and laborers, the Trade Union at all levels from the Trade Union and other social resources is expected to benefit up to 10% or 9,800 Trade Union members and laborers directly managed by the Provincial Trade Union. Khanh Hoa Labor Confederation will give grants to approximately 2,500 members, VND1 million/person and the Trade Union will offer New Year gifts worth VND500,000 each to 7,300 members and laborers. The gifts may be more in cash or in-kind depending on resources mobilized. The grassroots Trade Union provides care and support based on existing resources to ensure all workers have a joyful New Year season.
