Efforts to implement key projects

Currently, many key projects are underway and in the process of attracting investment in Cam Ranh City. The City People's Committee is making efforts to implement these projects to create an important premise for development breakthroughs in the coming years in accordance with the direction of Resolution 09 of the Politburo on the construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Many projects completed and underway

According to the report of Cam Ranh City People's Committee, currently, the city has 8 key projects under construction or calling for capital, including 6 projects funded by the State budget.

Specifically, Le Duan Street - Section 3 with a total investment of VND326 billion commenced by Cam Ranh City People's Committee in July 2024 starts from Nguyen Luong Bang Street and ends at the intersection with Le Loi Street with a total length of nearly 3km. The contractor is constructing the roadbed and drainage system and has completed procedures to select a contractor for the lighting. In 2024, the city has disbursed VND10 billion of central capital (reaching 100%); and is making efforts to disburse nearly VND64.5 billion of provincial capital.

In addition, Cam Ranh City People's Committee has also issued a decision approving the implementation plan of Le Duan Street Project - Section 4 (from Le Loi Street to Nguyen Cong Tru Street) and connecting segments of Tran Nguyen Han Street, Hoang Van Thu Street, and planned road No. 35. The project is implementing a consulting package for surveying and preparing a feasibility study report.

The project has a total length of more than 4.3km, with a total investment of more than VND500 billion. The project will connect with Le Duan Street, sections 1 - 2 - 3, helping to improve the inner-city traffic network as well as the entire key route running through Cam Ranh City center parallel to the National Highway 1.

Moreover, Cam Ranh City Party Committee has approved the investment policy for the Nguyen Van Cu Street Project (from Truong Chinh Street to Nguyen Cong Tru Street) in Cam Phu, Cam Phuc Nam, Cam Phuc Bac and Cam Nghia wards. Cam Ranh City People's Committee will submit to the Provincial People's Committee for funding the next steps of the project. Besides, the city has just started the 22 Thang 8 Park Project (Cam Loi Ward) with a total investment of more than VND14.8 billion; is implementing procedures to construct the Residential Area Project, resettlement of Pham Van Dong Street (Cam Phu Ward); approve the contractor to implement the project to renovate and upgrade the flood drainage system of the two reservoirs Suoi Hanh and Ta Ruc.

Gradually improving infrastructures

In addition to implementing the Government-funded projects, Cam Ranh City has Cam Ranh Bay Urban Area Project invested by the Joint Venture of Cam Ranh Investment Joint Stock Company, Vinhomes Joint Stock Company and Vines Energy Solutions Joint Stock Company. This project covers ​​over 1,254 hectares stretching from Cam Lap Commune to Cam Nghia Ward with a total investment of VND85,300 billion.

The entire political system of Cam Ranh City has made efforts to promote propaganda for project implementation to facilitate site clearance. Communes and wards are also conducting surveys to assess the demand for vocational training, career transitions, employment opportunities and loans for households whose land is subject to recovery. Cam Ranh City People's Committee will develop and approve the plan for vocational training, career conversion, employment, and the need for loan support of households whose land has been recovered under the Cam Ranh Bay Urban Area Project.

According to Le Ngoc Thach, Chairman of Cam Ranh City People's Committee, in the coming time, the city will continue to accelerate the implementation of key projects to gradually improve the synchronous infrastructures, basically meeting the criteria of urban tourism and logistics infrastructures, especially for projects calling for extra-budgetary funding; focus on removing obstacles for enterprises with projects slowed down by site clearance; strengthen resource management, environmental protection and proactively respond to climate change; continue to resolutely direct and implement solutions for the city's socio-economic development, especially projects being implemented; contributing to promoting the city's economy, striving to reach the goal that Cam Ranh City will meet the criteria of type II urban area by 2028 and become an urban district by 2030.
