The Central Propaganda Committee, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association coordinated to organize a national press conference in Can Tho City on December 16 to summarize the tasks in 2024 and define the direction in 2025.
Present at the event were Nguyen Trong Nghia, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Committee; Nguyen Manh Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Committee, Minister of Information and Communications; Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association; and more than 750 delegates from ministries, departments, agencies, localities and press agencies throughout the country.

The Press Authority under the Ministry of Information and Communications released the 2024 results of its digital transformation maturity index for Vietnam’s press agencies. Accordingly, Khanh Hoa Newspaper achieved excellence and ranked first in the group of 62 local press agencies in terms of digital transformation maturity. Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station achieved the good level, ranking 10th in the Radio - Television Station block.

The index serves as a benchmark for monitoring and evaluating annual digital transformation efforts of press agencies, facilitating comparisons and tracking progress, helping organizations identify strengths and weaknesses. This aligns with the goals of the digital transformation strategy for the press until 2025, with an orientation to 2030. The index comprises 5 pillars and 42 criteria, with results classified into five levels, namely excellent, good, fair, average and poor.
