Khanh Hoa Social Insurance:
Significant progress in administrative reform

This year, Khanh Hoa Social Insurance has implemented several solutions to promote administrative reform, focusing on administrative procedure reform and information technology application in management and operation toward residents’ satisfaction.

Drastic in direction and operation

Closely following administrative reform guidance 2024 of Vietnam Social Security, since the beginning of the year, the provincial Social Security has assigned administrative reform tasks to its civil servants, especially leaders. The unit regularly ensures the public posting of administrative procedures; facilitating organizations and individuals in transactions and reference in administrative service to minimize delays in administrative processing.

The provincial Social Insurance has directed the assignment of specific tasks to the staff to monitor the daily reception and resolution of administrative procedures regularly. The administrative service has been improved through regular and timely monitoring. With the strengthening of inspection, supervision and specific assignments to organizations and individuals, minimizing resolution delays.

The provincial Social Insurance has continued integrating and providing 100% of its online public services level 4 on the National Public Service Portal, VssID application (digital social insurance). Up to 485.7 000 people have installed VssID (accounting for 41%). The provincial Social Insurance has regularly reviewed its administrative procedures to make any proposals to simplify administrative procedures, contributing to transparency and convenience for the insured.

Satisfactory results

According to Le Hung Chinh,  Deputy Director in charge of the provincial Social Insurance, the outstanding achievements in the administrative reform of the provincial Social Insurance resulted from the digital transformation, information technology application, and administrative system modernization.

Nearly 1.2 million people in the province have participated in social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance, which are authenticated by the national database on insurance with the national database on population, accounting for 98.58% of the total number of people participating in social insurance and health insurance.

100% of medical facilities have deployed health insurance examination and treatment using chip-embedded citizen identification cards and more than 1.57 million searches related to health insurance information using I.D cards for health examination. The rate of social insurance payment via non-cash payment methods has reached higher than the target assigned by Vietnam Social Security.

In addition, the provincial Social Insurance has continued to effectively utilize apps in management and operation for collection management; centralized accounting, settlement appraisal, health insurance assessment system; social insurance code issuance app and family health insurance management, etc. contributing to improving performance efficiency for better service.
