3 car parking lots put into operation before Lunar New Year 2025

Nha Trang City People's Committee has temporarily put 3 temporary car parking lots into operation on vacant land before the Lunar New Year 2025 as a solution to the lack of parking spaces.

According to Le Xuan Loc, Deputy Head of Nha Trang City Urban Management Department, Nha Trang City People's Committee has been approved to manage and exploit the temporary parking lots. The 3 temporary parking lots have been officially put into service to reduce traffic congestion.

They are located at the Gas Station No. 4 on 23 Thang 10 Street (next to Long Son Pagoda), managed by Phuong Sai Ward People’s Committee; at the former location of Ana Mandara Resort (Tran Phu Street), managed by Loc Tho Ward People's Committee; and at the former project site of Nha Trang Sao Joint Stock Company on Pham Van Dong Street, managed by Vinh Tho Ward People’s Committee.

All parking lots are equipped with smart operating systems.

The temporary parking lots at the Gas Station No. 4 on 23 Thang 10 Street and Anna Mandara are managed by the city People’s Committee and other by the Provincial Land Fund Development Center.

The 3 temporary parking lots have been equipped with cameras, lighting and other equipment. Vehicles are scanned upon entry and exit, and a software system handles the collection of fees.

A tour bus driver Nguyen Duc Thao said, "Now, the city has arranged a parking lot right next to Long Son Pagoda; it’s very convenient for us and the service fees are clearly and publicly posted.”

According to Le Minh Thuy, Chairman of Loc Tho Ward People's Committee, the ward was assigned by the city to organize and manage the temporary parking lot at the former Ana Mandara site. The parking lot is managed by VNPT's smart operating system. The ward is to regulate the safe flow of traffic to ensure security, environmental sanitation and fire prevention and fighting at the temporary parking lot; direct forces to collect the correct parking fee as regulated.

From December 2024 to January 2025, Nha Trang City People's Committee has put 3 temporary parking lots into operation at the Gas Station No. 4 on 23 Thang 10 Street (next to Long Son Pagoda) with a capacity of 28 vehicles; former location of Ana Mandara Resort (Tran Phu Street) with a capacity of 140 vehicles and on Land recovered from Nha Trang Sao Joint Stock Company on Pham Van Dong Street with a capacity of 400 vehicles.

In February, the city will put 3 temporary parking lots at 120 Dien Bien Phu Street (Vinh Hoa Ward), with a capacity of 100 vehicles; 170 Le Hong Phong (Phuoc Hai Ward) with a capacity of 70 vehicles and on Cat Phu Company's land on Nguyen Tat Thanh Avenue (Phuoc Dong Commune) with a capacity of 500 vehicles.
