New Year meeting with foreign visitors and overseas Vietnamese

International visitors and overseas Vietnamese gathered for the 2025 New Year celebration held by Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and  Fatherland Front Committee on January 20.

Present at the event were Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; Le Huu Hoang, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; Pham Thi Xuan Trang, Vice-Chairperson of the Provincial People's Council; Dinh Van Thieu, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; Nguyen Van Thien, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee together with leaders of local  agencies and departments and early 100 foreign visitors and overseas Vietnamese.

Nguyen Tan Tuan and Le Huu Hoang present certificates of merit and greeting flowers to excellent businesses and organizations.

In 2024, Khanh Hoa Province received 6 projects and 2 non-project aid totaling VND 19.3 billion. The province had 112 foreign-invested projects, with a total registered capital of USD3.96 billion. The province implemented more than 30 foreign affairs activities, signed 3 international cooperation agreements with local partners of South Korea, Laos and Japan; prepared the content of cooperation agreements with Kazakhstan, France and Russia. Investment, trade and tourism promotion events attracted investors from countries such as Japan, the U.S.A, Thailand, India, China...

Cultural and tourism events such as Nha Trang Sea Tourism Festival 2024, International Ever Glamour Nha Trang 2024, Golden Kite Award Ceremony 2024... have left a deep impression on people and tourists at home and abroad.

Speaking at the meeting, Nguyen Tan Tuan informed the foreign visitors and overseas Vietnamese about the provincial socio-economic achievements. The province has completed all 22/22 socio-economic targets; its GRDP in 2024 increased by 10.16% compared to 2023, exceeding the plan, ranking 7th nationwide; total export turnover of more than USD2 billion, up by 16.5% compared to 2023 and exceeding 9.3% of the plan. In 2025, Khanh Hoa Province strives to accelerate development to complete the goals of the 2021 - 2025 period, aiming to become a centrally-governed city by 2030.

The Provincial People’s Committee Chairman Nguyen Tan Tuan conveyed his desire for continued support from individuals and organizations, both domestically and internationally, to aid Khanh Hoa's growth and international integration. He wished foreign visitors and overseas Vietnamese a New Year filled with good health, happiness and wealth.

On this occasion, the Provincial People’s Committee granted certificates of merit to 11 groups and 8 individuals for their great contribution to provincial socio-economic growth in 2024.
