24,000 Russian tourist arrivals in first 2 months of 2025

In the first two months of 2025, Khanh Hoa Province welcomed 24,000 Russian visitors, up by 73% over the same period in 2024.

The number of Russian tourists to Khanh Hoa is forecast to continue to increase in the coming time as the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has granted permission to Azur Air (Russia) to operate charter flights from 11 Russian cities, including Novosibirsk, Vnukovo, Krasnoyarsk, Koltsovo, Irkutsk, Novy, Vladivostok, Ignatyevo, Omsk, Novokuznetsk and Barnaul with 14 flights/week to Cam Ranh from March 16.

Russian Airlines Aeroflot has planned to resume flights to Cam Ranh with 2 flights/week from the end of March 2025 and will consider increasing flights during the peak tourist season. Other Russian airlines such as Ikar, North Wind and Red Wing have intended to resume flights from Russia to Cam Ranh and Phu Quoc this summer.

Russia is a traditional international tourist market in Vietnam and Khanh Hoa is the most favorite destination of Russian visitors. In 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed about 105,500 Russian arrivals, up by 206% compared to 2023 but still only 22.8% compared to its pre-Covid in 2019. The commencement of flights from Russia to Khanh Hoa is anticipated to stimulate the growth of the Russian tourist market.
