Promoting youth's enthusiasm and commitment to community development

In recent times, the Youth Union campaigns in Khanh Hoa Province have been implemented by the Youth Union organizations in various diverse ways, affirming their role in youth education, training and care.

According to Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Youth Union, Chairman of Vietnam Youth Federation, the Youth Union and youth movement in Khanh Hoa Province have received the direction and support of the Party Committee and the provincial government. Therefore, the youth have actively participated in activities launched by the Union organizations and achieved practical results.

In 2024, the Youth Union at all levels in the province carried out 16 provincial-level youth projects, with a total value of more than VND2.3 billion; 91 district-level youth projects worth more than VND3.6 billion; 402 grassroots-level youth projects worth nearly VND3 billion. 

The youth continued to play their pioneering role through various volunteer campaigns, including new rural construction with 202 youth projects (lighting up 19km of rural roads, renewing 8km of rural roads, building and repairing 4 playgrounds for children). The Youth Unions at all levels participated in promoting the consumption of OCOP products by young people, supporting rural youth to participate in production and supply chains of agricultural products and so on.

Under the volunteer campaign to develop civilized urban areas, over 80 activities were organized to remove illegal adds together with regular activities during the 'Peak Day of Volunteering to Develop Civilized Urban Areas.' The volunteer campaign also successfully contributed to environmental protection, climate change response, and pandemic prevention and control with 370 clean-up projects,

Volunteering to promote social security, the Youth Union at all levels organized more than 480 activities to support the lonely elderly and the vulnerable; 30 voluntary blood donation activities, collecting more than 8,800 units of clean blood for ensure sufficient blood supplies for emergency and treatment; provided 205 medical examinations, consultations with free medicines offered to more than 2,000 patients.

To continue promoting the achieved results, creating an environment for union members and youth to develop, the most important work is propaganda and education. Amid the national efforts to streamline the organizational apparatus, the Youth Union remains committed to promptly evaluating the ideas and perspectives of young people to address their information access needs.while closely adhering to guidance from all levels of leadership.

The Youth Unions and associations at all levels also need to continue to be flexible, creative in launching propaganda about Youth activities via mass media; thereby attracting members, youth, organizations and individuals, providing a link to provide information and receive feedback from union members and youth about social issues.

Regarding propaganda and patriotic education models for the younger generation, the Provincial Youth Union, along with its affliations will continue implementing the campaign “Homeland Pride”, hanging maps of Vietnam at educational institutions such as schools, libraries and agencies. This initiative was successfully executed in 2024 with 1,863 maps displayed.

Besides, the model of “Spratly Islands landmark and Spratly Islands in my heart" continued to be implemented at schools, thereby arousing love for the homeland and a sense of national solidarity among students in particular, and young generation in general...

Additionally, the Youth Union will continue to successfully implement various activity models, such as the campaign "Good News Daily, Inspirational Story Weekly," recruiting Youth Union members at historical relic sites, and paying tribute to heroic martyrs and revolutionaries. These initiatives help foster young people's political wills and deepen their awareness of their roles and responsibilities, driving the effective execution of action programs.

In reponse to 94th foundation anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the province has carried out various exciting activities. Specifically, the Provincial Youth Union at all levels organized youth camps served as a platform for Union officials, members and young people to widen their knowledge and enhance their skills; launched environmental campaigns; deployed journeys to historical relic sites, propagandized the history and traditions of the Youth Union; established 73 youth volunteer teams in various fields, etc.

Furthermore, Youth Union organizations organized 8 Youth Union knowledge training courses, recruited 500 new members and recommended 53 outstanding members the Communist Party membership consideration; enhanced physical education and sports activities in celebration of the Youth Union anniversary, providing a platform for Youth Union cadres, members and young people to meet and share experience; thus promoting the spirit of volunteerism throughout the year.
