Paying tribute at Ho Chi Minh Monument in Saint Petersburg

During the working trip to Russia, the delegation of Khanh Hoa Province led by Nguyen Khac Toan, Permanent Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, Secretary of Provincial Party Agencies on March 12 laid wreaths and paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh in Saint Petersburg. Accompanying the delegation was Bondarenko Nikolai Leonidovich, Vice-Chairman of the Legislative Council of Saint Petersburg.

Earlier, on March 11, Governor of Saint Petersburg Aleksander Beglov signed a decree naming a square in the northern part of Russia’s second-largest city after President Ho Chi Minh. The Ho Chi Minh Square on Prosveshcheniya Avenue, near building No. 15 in Vyborg District. The square is located next to Ho Chi Minh Street and the Monument of Ho Chi Minh.

Saint Petersburg, as a twin city to Ho Chi Minh City, features a prominent complex dedicated to President Ho Chi Minh. This complex includes Ho Chi Minh Square, Ho Chi Minh Street, and the Ho Chi Minh Monument, highlighting the close relationship between the two cities and reflecting the enduring friendship between Russia and Vietnam.
