Buddha procession and light up 7 giant lotus flowers

Khanh Hoa Provincial Buddhism Excecutive Committee organized Buddha procession and lighted up 7 giant lotus flowers on the evening of May 4 to celebrate the United Nations Vesak Day 2025 in Khanh Hoa.

The Buddha procession wound its way through the city center to Long Son Pagoda. The Buddha procession was led by a lion dance accompanied by groups carrying flags, and banners followed by a flower palanquin carrying the Buddha and nearly 2,000 monks, nuns and Buddhists in the province.

After the Buddha bathing rituals, monks, nuns, Buddhists and thousands of people lighted up 7 giant lotus flowers on the Cai River (along the embankment, from the Muong Thanh building area to near Ha Ra Bridge). These 7 lotus flowers will be lit every night from now until May 12 (April 15 of the lunar calendar).
