Efforts to ensure all-round care for children

The child care and education in Khanh Hoa Province has been implemented synchronously and effectively by the Comrade Association at all levels through numerous practical tasks and models implemented in creative ways, contributing to improving child care and education.

Child care and education focused

The Youth Union and Young Pioneer Organization have implemented various educational activities, creating playgrounds for children to build life skills and achieve all-round development. At Cam Ranh Base Primary School (Cam Ranh City), a landmark model of the Truong Sa or Spratly Islands is placed in the school yard. During the school break, kids enjoy playing around the landmark area. Some even happily shared proudly, "My father is working on Spratly Islands."

Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial People’s Committee presents flowers to congratulate the 16th Khanh Hoa Province Uncle Ho's Good Children Congress held in March.

According to Ho Thi Hanh, a teacher at Cam Ranh Base Primary School (Cam Ranh City), the island landmark was inaugurated by the school Young Pioneer detachment in April. The meaningful model named "Spratly Islands in my heart" was launched by the Provincial Comrade Association, contributing to improving child education and arousing patriotism and boosting the solidarity towards the national marine sovereignty among team members and pupils.

 “Spratly Islands in my heart" is one of the initiatives recently implemented by the Provincial Comrade Association. Since the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, 6 more Truong Sa landmark models have been set up in schools in the province.

According to Huynh Thi Nhu Y, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Comrade Association, such activities and events as the National Anthem singing contest at historical relic sites, "Rows of Barringtonia asiatica", etc. have joined effort to educate the young generation revolutionary traditions, promote patriotism and national pride.

Besides, the Comrade Association at all levels has created many playgrounds and models to develop children’s personality, improve overall health and intelligence; focusing on nurturing personality, ethics and cultivating life skills for teenagers and children.

In the first semester of the 2024-2025 school year, tours to historical relic sites, thematic activities "A beautiful story, a good book, a bright example every week" and various activities were held for children in the province to promote friendships and fight against school violence.

At the provincial level, the Provincial Comrade Association has also coordinated with departments, agencies and social organizations to deploy many playgrounds for children such as English competition "V-Champions - Golden Bell" for primary and junior high school students; the first Khanh Hoa Provincial "Children's Statue Painting" Contest 2024, etc.

In addition, children's houses in the province have effectively fulfilled their roles. Most notably, in mid-2024, Khanh Son District Children's House was inaugurated and put into use, ensuring that districts, towns and cities in the province have dedicated spaces for children's activities. The Provincial Children's Cultural Palace is expected to come into operation this June with 8 functional areas, contributing to creating an environment for children to play and develop essential skills.

Care for children in need

One of the remarkable activities of the Comrade organization is the timely care for children in need. The Provincial Comrade Association and the districts and towns have issued guidelines and launched activities to encourage the participation of many members in the so-called “Small plan” to raise funds for youth projects as well as mobilized donations from benefactors and businesses to carry out meaningful activities to support those in need.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the Provincial Comrade Association has mobilized more than VND1.9 billion to support 8,566 children through scholarships, gifts, learning tools, bicycles, savings books and so on. Since the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year, 4,720 more children have received aid worth more than VND610 million from community sources and local funds. Outstanding programs such as "Charity Market", "scholarship presentation”, "Journey of a million glasses of milk", etc. organized across the province have become highlights in volunteer activities.

Strengthening the organization

The Provincial Comrade Association regularly coordinates with the Department of Education and Training to conduct professional training, facilitate experience-sharing activities and organize competitions for pioneer leaders to enhance their role in school-based child education. In addition, the Provincial Comrade Association has also strengthened the role of the Provincial Comrade Training Council consisting of 25 members experienced in comrade work, training, and professional development.

With a spirit of innovation, creativity and strong determination, the Provincial Comrade Association will continue to uphold tradition, reaffirming its role as an exemplary educational and training environment for the young generation to become responsible citizens, contributing to national development," affirmed Huynh Thi Nhu Y.
