Recently, the Youth Union at all levels in Khanh Hoa Province has implemented numerous practical initiatives to respond to climate change and protect the marine environment; contributing to raising awareness about the significance of marine conservation and inspiring ocean conservation efforts.

According to Chu Minh Phuong, Secretary of Nha Trang City Youth Union, as a coastal city with strong marine tourism potential, local youth have actively engaged in practical initiatives to raise public awareness of marine environmental protection which are tailored to local conditions and integrated into volunteer programs such as Volunteer Saturday, Green Sunday, the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign and activities in response to the World Environment Day. Through these initiatives, young people are making meaningful contributions to preserving the marine environment.
In Van Ninh District, young people often participate in beach clean-up along the coast near Tran Hung Dao Bridge, Van Gia Town; 14 Thang 8 Street, Van Gia Town; 2 Thang 9 Street, Van Phuoc Commune, etc. According to Vo Dinh Chau, Secretary of the Van Ninh District Youth Union, on-site littering and windborne garbage contribute significantly to coastal pollution. Recently, the Youth Union organizations in the district have joined clean-up and launched environmental propaganda.
"Recently, the Vietnam Youth Union of the district established the Club ‘Green PlanET - Action for the green planet’, which regularly organizes activities to protect the marine environment, attracting the participation of a large number of Youth Union members and tourists," added Vo Dinh Chau.

Recognizing the vital role and responsibility of youth in environmental protection, the Youth Union across the province has launched numerous volunteer programs, fostering awareness and action for a greener future.
In 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, the youth implemented 370 youth projects and tasks on clean-up, focusing in coastal localities; releasing more than 1.5 million aquatic breeds to regenerate and restore aquatic resources. In addition, the Provincial Youth Union has also regularly maintained 8 youth volunteer teams to protect the marine environment; Youth Union affiliations have organized many teams to carry out community activities.
According to Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, along with specific activities, Khanh Hoa youth have also focused on propaganda to raise public awareness of marine environment protection. Through social media, the fanpages of the Youth Union serve as powerful communication platforms to spread the message "Green Living, Green Action." Regularly shared video clips, articles, and photos showcase the efforts of Youth Union members and young advocates, inspiring positive change in public awareness and behavior, particularly among the youth.
Many creative activities, namely "Home for used batteries", which promotes proper battery disposal; and "Stone bench from plastic waste" have contributed to raising community awareness about environmental protection.
