Khanh Vinh: Infrastructure development for new growth phase

Coming to Khanh Vinh District today, one can sense the energetic construction progress along the National Highway 27C, stretching from the town to villages and hamlets. The well-planned infrastructure serves as a crucial foundation, propelling Khanh Vinh District in particular and Khanh Hoa Province in general into a new phase of development.

Improved access to agricultural fields

The road from Khanh Vinh Town to Khanh Thanh Commune, once a challenge for local travelers, has undergone significant improvements thanks to 6 traffic infrastructure projects launched in 2024, including Khanh Vinh - Khanh Thanh - Lien Sang road (section from the town to Khanh Thanh Commune People's Committee Building), more than 6km long, with a total capital of VND40 billion.

The road work is now basically complete with the concrete road leading to fields, creating great convenience for thousands of farmers and opening up opportunities for land utilization, development of a combined agricultural and forestry economic model; ecotourism promotion and sustainable poverty reduction

In 2025, the district has continued to propose the province's support for investment in phase 2 with a total capital of VND80 billion. Besides, many inner-town roads have also been invested synchronously. The district has completed the Hoang Quoc Viet bridge project, expanding the town space to the east, connecting the administrative center with the new urban area east of Khe River, facilitating travel and promoting socio-economic development.

In early 2025, some essential infrastructure projects were completed such as Ta Mo 6 submersible bridge (Khanh Thanh Commune), Cai River bridge (Khanh Thuong Commune), Suoi 1 bridge (Khanh Dong Commune) and so on. The project to replace 3 old bridges (Ngua Waterfall, Giang River, Cho River) on Provincial Road 8B is also underway to eliminate the isolation of communes during floods, ensuring safer and more reliable transportation for local residents.

Considerable stimulus to long-term development

Khanh Vinh is located on the National Highway 27C connecting Nha Trang City, Dien Khanh and Khanh Vinh and up to Da Lat (Lam Dong), opening up a tourism space for the midland and mountainous areas of the west of Khanh Hoa Province. Along this route, many rural tourist destinations have emerged. Additionally, the route connecting the National Highway 27C with the Provincial Road DT.656 - connecting Khanh Hoa with Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan is undergoing upgrades to improve regional connectivity and accessibility.

Furthermore, the Van Phong - Nha Trang component project of the North - South expressway in the east phase 2021 - 2025 is under construction, contributing to strengthening inter-provincial and inter-regional connectivity. Regarding digital infrastructure, the district has basically completed the information technology system, with 100% of district officials and 98% of commune-level officials equipped with computers; the telecommunications network covers all communes and towns, with 104 4G broadcasting stations.

According to Chairman of the District People's Committee Van Ngoc Huong, in the period of 2021 - 2025, the district will manage a total public investment capital of more than VND1,200 billion with priority given to traffic infrastructure, agriculture, schools and national target programs.

Implementing the Politburo's Resolution No. 09 on the construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province till 2030 with a vision till 2045, Khanh Vinh District is oriented to form 5 ecological sub-urban areas in the communes of Song Cau, Son Thai - Lien Sang, Khanh Thuong, Khanh Trung and Khanh Hiep.

The goal by 2030 is that Khanh Vinh Town will meet the standards of a type IV urban area. The development orientation of the district's socio-economic infrastructure system covers such areas as industry, services, tourism, education, health, culture, sports, etc. ensuring alignment with each stage of growth. Song Cau Industrial Cluster has been officially put into operation.

"With the support of the Central Government, the province, the determination of the political system, and the consensus of the people, the district's infrastructure has much improved, creating a solid foundation for Khanh Vinh to enter a new stage of development,” Van Ngoc Huong added.

According to the target of Resolution No. 09, Khanh Vinh District has currently achieved and exceeded 21/32 targets, ensuring all communes have asphalted or concrete roads leading to their centers; households have access to the national power grid or other suitable energy sources. Khanh Vinh District aims to complete the remaining 11 targets in 2025.
