Ambassador of Azerbaijan visits Khanh Hoa

On June 9, Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee welcomed Shovgi Mehdizade, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Vietnam.

Also at the reception were Le Huu Hoang, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial People’s Committee.

At the reception, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nghiem Xuan Thanh expressed his pleasure at the growing cooperation between Vietnam and Azerbaijan and thanked the Ambassador for visiting Khanh Hoa and attending the 2025 Sea Culture and Tourism Festival.

He also highlighted the upcoming merger of Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan provinces, emphasizing the new province’s expanded potential in tourism, renewable energy, and industrial development.

Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizade highly appreciated the development of Khanh Hoa tourism and the economic potential of the province; strongly agreed with the proposed cooperation orientations. The Ambassador said that Vietnam and Azerbaijan had established a Strategic Partnership during the State visit of General Secretary To Lam to Azerbaijan in early May 2025.

In the coming time, the two sides will organize various cooperation activities at the national and local levels. Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizade expressed his commitment to strengthening Khanh Hoa’s cooperation with Azerbaijani localities and promoting the destination Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to the people of Azerbaijan, adding that he had worked with major travel agencies, namely Anex Vietnam, Pegas Touristik and Crystal Bay to discuss organizing flights to bring Azerbaijani visitors to Khanh Hoa.
