Cooperation agreement between Khanh Hoa Province and Lorient City signed

A signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province and the Lorient agglomeration community and Lorient City (France) for the period 2025 - 2028 took place in Khanh Hoa on June 7.

A cooperation agreement between Khanh Hoa and Lorient City is signed.

Present at the event were Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Provincial People’s Committee; Le Huu Hoang, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Party Committee, Standing Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee; Pham Thi Xuan Trang, Vice-Chairperson of the Provincial People's Council. Delegates from Lorient City, France included Fabrice Loher, Mayor of Lorient; Grégory Robert, Deputy Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City together with the delegation of the Lorient agglomeration community.

The parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Khanh Hoa Province the Lorient agglomeration community and Lorient City in the fields of marine economy, investment, tourism, health, cultural heritage and cultural and educational exchange. In particular, investment and health offer the greatest potential for cooperation.

Khanh Hoa and Lorient will create favorable conditions for businesses and investors to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in such sectors as clean energy industry, renewable energy; high-tech industry, biotechnology, precision mechanics, logistics and seaport services, industrial park infrastructure, industrial clusters, fisheries and fisheries logistics, agriculture in the direction of large-scale concentration, increase application of high technology, digital technology associated with processing and consumption according to the value chain; as well as facilitate the exchange of delegations of medical experts between Khanh Hoa and Lorient.
