Robocon Innovation Competition organized by the Provincial Youth Union at the multi-purpose gymnasium of Khanh Hoa University. The Robocon competition featured thrilling matches, each lasting 2 minutes and 30 seconds. During the first 30 seconds, teams relied on pre-programmed automation to operate their robots. In the remaining 2 minutes, team members skillfully maneuvered their robots to collect and place spheres and cubes into designated goals to score points.
In 2025, the province hosted its first Robocon for high school and university students. The event featured 24 high school teams and 18 university teams, competing in various robotics challenges.
According to Nguyen Tan Dung, a team member from Lam Son High School (Nha Trang City), competing in the Robocon, he found robot programming and assembling difficult, but controlling the robots with precision even more difficult. They had to spend countless hours refining their techniques, ensuring their robots could pick up and transport cubes with accuracy.
“I used to take part in the Robocon organized by Nha Trang City Youth Union. Competing in the event held by the provincial Youth Union this time, we had to practice several times before the competition, spending hours together researching and assembling to be able to build the robot,” said Nguyen Tan Dung.
In 2025, the competition was first hosted by the provincial Youth Union featuring 42 high school and university teams, competing in various robotics challenges, including maneuvering their robots to collect and place items into designated goals to score points. The matches were filled with intense rivalries, unexpected twists, and thrilling moments, making the event a true spectacle of skills and innovation.
Truong Dan Huy, a third-year student of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Nha Trang University, was so excited to participate in the competition for the first time. Assembling and programming robots was not difficult for Huy's team but they still had to fix the robot more times than expected. "When competing in the actual competition, the team still encountered some obstacles as the robots malfunctioned and didn't perform as intended. This competition created a playground for students to exchange and apply advanced programming techniques in real-world scenarios," he said.
According to Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, the first Robocon ever organized by the Provincial Youth Union was a success, drawing the participation of many teams and contestants. The participants have shown their creativity, teamwork skills and ability to apply advanced technology into practice in an impressive way.
The competition showcased a wide array of robot creations, assembled, programmed, and operated by young minds, highlighting their skills in science, technology, and digital transformation. The Robocon Innovation Competition is more than just an intellectual battleground; it is a dynamic space where young minds are inspired to explore new ideas, strengthen teamwork, and refine logical thinking and problem-solving skills in the 4.0 technology era.
1 first, 1 second, 2 third and 4 consolidation prizes were awarded to excellent teams of high school and university groups. The first prize in the student group belongs to TND 1 team, Tran Nhat Duat High School (Nha Trang City); and the first prize in the student group to NTU Hound team, Nha Trang University.
