Candle-lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs

A candle-lighting ceremony was organized at Ninh Hoa Martyr Cemetery on July 26 by the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of North Ninh Hoa Commune and leaders of the communes and wards of Ninh Hoa, Hoa Tri, Tan Dinh, Hoa Thang, Dong Ninh Hoa, South Ninh Hoa and West Ninh Hoa to pay tribute to heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947-2025).

At the ceremony, delegates and relatives of the martyrs offered incense and flowers to commemorate the martyrs at Ninh Hoa - Van Ninh Martyrs Cemetery. Tran Minh Thao, Secretary of the Party Committee of North Ninh Hoa Commune, emphasized the activity was to honor and pay tribute to heroic martyrs; promote patriotism and revolutionary tradition, especially among young generations; increase public awareness of responsibility and gratitude for revolutionaries’ sacrifice and contribution in the national struggle for national protection and liberation.

Delegates also lit candles and incense at more than 3,700 martyrs’ graves in the cemetery.  On this occasion, gifts were offered to 6 policy beneficiaries’ families.
