Numerous practical benefits from digital transformation

Adhering to the policies and guidelines of the Party and State and with high determination, Khanh Hoa Province has advanced digital transformation across all sectors, delivering tangible benefits to both residents and businesses in recent years.

Along with offering diverse designs and ensuring product quality of decorative and spiritual ceramic products, Bau Truc Cham Pottery Cooperative (Ninh Phuoc Commune) has focused on promoting the craft village, tourist attractions, as well as ceramic products on social media and e-commerce platforms to expand market reach.

According to Phu Huu Minh Thuan, Director of Bau Truc Cham Pottery Cooperative, online sales of the cooperative's ceramic products have recently made up approximately 60–70% of total sales. Digital platforms, including Facebook, Zalo, Shopee, and the cooperative’s website, have played a key role in connecting with both domestic and international customers, helping boost sales and revenue. The cooperative currently employs 18 people earning a monthly income of VND5-12 million/ person.

According to Teacher Vo Thi Minh Hien, Phu Ha 2 Primary School (Phan Rang Ward, the digital transformation has benefitted our daily life and work. Most businesses and traders in traditional markets have QR codes and bank account numbers to facilitate payment. Many schools in the province have implemented cashless payment, offering convenience for both teachers and parents.  Additionally, essential services such as telecommunications, electricity, water, and healthcare can all be paid for digitally.

Digital transformation is an inevitable trend, bringing numerous practical benefits, including reducing the use of paper, ink, saving time and travel costs, while streamlining record keeping and administrative processes. Digital transformation and application of information technology also help improve teaching with e-lectures that integrate images, videos, graphics, sound, texts and vivid learning games to motivate learners. Besides, through digital platforms, teachers can easily get connected with students and parents; enable online teaching tests, assessments and reports through apps accurately and quickly.

Thanks to digital transformation efforts, pensions, social insurance benefits, and allowances are now paid directly into personal accounts, saving travel time. Insured health care services using ID cards by medical facilities in the province also bring conveniences.

Tran Thi Diep, a resident of Phuoc Khanh Village, Ninh Phuoc Commune, said, “With official documents now integrated into the ID card, I no longer need to carry multiple papers when going to hospital, handling administrative procedures, or conducting other transactions. A smartphone with a mobile banking app allows me to pay for electricity, water, telecommunications, tuition, and daily essentials via bank transfer. I also provide QR codes and bank accounts to make it easier for customers to pay when purchasing goods.”

The efforts and achievements in digital transformation in recent years have brought life-altering experiences, contributing to effectively achieving the goal of building a digital government, a digital economy, and digital society in the province; enhancing public service in the new era.

With the practical benefits from digital transformation, in the coming time, along with the determination and efforts of the political system at all levels, people in the province are encouraged to raise awareness and take an active role in the digital transformation to improve life quality and boost production and business.
