A whale was sighted in Hon Rom area, Nha Trang Bay Marine Protected Area on July 22 by Nha Trang Bay Management Board members who were diving to remove marine debris and release fish to help restore aquatic ecosystems.
According to Nguyen Duy Khuong (Sailing Club Divers), the whale emerged from the water for approximately 10 minutes, surrounded by birds, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
Earlier, on May 18, a pod of over 100 dolphins was spotted in Hon Dung Area, Nha Trang Bay Marine Protected Area. The increasing sightings of whales and dolphins are a positive sign for the improvement of the environmental condition and water quality in Nha Trang Bay, as well as the effective implementation of Nha Trang Bay Recovery Master Plan until 2030 by the Provincial People's Committee.
