Khanh Hoa General Hospital’s Stroke Department established

Khanh Hoa General Hospital officially put the Stroke Department into operation on August 1. The department is located on its E Building’s 2nd floor with 20 beds. The department's staff includes 6 doctors, 4 nurses and 1 nursing assistant who are well-trained and possess extensive experience in stroke care.

The department's professional activities include Diagnosis and treatment of acute stroke; rehabilitation; consultation, research and community education on stroke risks and prevention. In 2024, Khanh Hoa General Hospital established a Stroke Unit under the Department of General Neurology.

With the alarming rise in stroke rates among young people, the establishment of the Stroke Department aims to provide specialized treatment for patients in the province in particular and neighboring regions in general.
