Ready for kick-off of 4 key projects to mark 80th National Day

On August 19, Khanh Hoa Province along with localities across the country will simultaneously organize the groundbreaking ceremony of 4 key construction projects in Khanh Hoa, including Nha Trang City mixed-use urban area project; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics’ training and research facility; social housing in Thanh Hai resettlement area; and Doc Da Trang Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business with a total investment capital of nearly VND20,200 billion.

Meticulous preparations 

In recent days, the project sites have been bustling with hundreds of engineers and workers diligently preparing for the upcoming groundbreaking ceremony. At the location of Nha Trang City Mixed-use Urban Area Project, Tran Tuan Anh, Chairman and General Director of Khanh Hoa Sun Co. Ltd., said, "This is an important project, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic growth. We have made joint efforts together with departments and agencies to carry out the procedures to prepare for the project construction. Up to now, all legal procedures to start the project have been completed."

For the remaining 3 projects, the investors have urgently deployed preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony. At the construction site of the Doc Da Trang Industrial Park Infrastructure Investment and Business Project, despite the recent unfavorable weather in the afternoon, workers, vehicles, and heavy machinery were mobilized in full force for the project implementation as planned.

According to Vo Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Head of the Provincial Economic Zone and Industrial Park Management Board, currently, the preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony of the project have been completed. Specifically, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has issued a decision approving the environmental impact assessment report; Van Hung Commune People's Committee has issued a decision to lease land. The investor has announced the commencement of the project. In preparation for the groundbreaking ceremony, ground leveling has been carried out together with a detailed plan for the groundbreaking ceremony.

Ready for the special event

According to Nguyen Thanh Phu, Director of the Department of Construction. the simultaneous commencement of 4 key projects in the province is a special political, economic and social event of the province to mark the national holiday. This event also creates a vibrant competitive atmosphere, determined to successfully implement Resolution No. 01, dated July 14, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee on double-digit economic growth in the period 2025 - 2030, towards the new term Party Congresses at all levels.

To ensure timely progress for the groundbreaking ceremony, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee have directed departments, agencies, localities and investors to focus on removing obstacles in related procedures, making efforts with great determination and consensus to ensure the groundbreaking ceremony is conducted with solemnity, safety and cost-effectiveness.

On August 16, Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province inspected the progress of Nha Trang City Mixed-use Urban Area Project (in South Nha Trang Ward). Tran Quoc Nam highly appreciated the efforts in site clearance and preparation for the project groundbreaking ceremony. He requested the South Nha Trang Ward People's Committee to continue to speed up the compensation and clearance progress, and complete the handover of the remaining area of phase 1 to the investor by September 15.

The groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony is scheduled to be held at the National Exhibition and Fair Center (Hanoi City) on August 19, connecting online with 80 project sites nationwide. The event will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and other local news agencies.

The 4 key construction projects include Nha Trang City mixed-use urban area project invested by Ha Long Sun Co. Ltd; and the project on Investment in construction and business of infrastructure of Doc Da Trang Industrial Park (Van Hung Commune and North Ninh Hoa Commune) by Viglacera Yen My Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics’ training and research facility in South Nha Trang Ward; social housing in Thanh Hai resettlement area in Bao An Ward by Sao Bien Real Estate Co.Ltd.
