Vice-Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien receives Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam

On August 18, Nguyen Long Bien, Member of Khanh Hoa Provincial Standing Party Committee, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, received Yaron Mayer, Israeli Ambassador to Vietnam.

Vice-Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Long Bien gave an overview of the provincial socio-economic development strategy and hoped Yaron Mayer would provide a link with Israeli enterprises to invest in developing the province's key industries; cooperate to launch direct flights between Israel and Khanh Hoa; organize farmtrips to foster tourism ties; organize promotional activities and exchange meetings between enterprises of Khanh Hoa Province and Israel to promote business cooperation and mutual development; promote the destinations of Khanh Hoa to Israel and vice versa.

Nguyen Long Bien proposed Yaron Mayer would create favorable conditions for Khanh Hoa to cooperate in applying Israeli technological initiatives to promote innovation, improve income for people in disadvantaged areas, build an innovative startup ecosystem associated with the marine economy and tourism services, and cooperate in deploying Israeli technologies to serve marine economy development in Khanh Hoa Province.

Ambassador Yaron Mayer highlighted the Vietnam–Israel cooperation over the past 30 years. He noted Khanh Hoa Province has a lot of potential for development and hoped to boost cooperation in many sectors. He promised to provide a link with Israeli businesses, especially in tourism, high-tech agriculture, fisheries, education, innovation, startups, journalism, etc., and make efforts to promote cooperation in launching direct flight service from Israel to Vietnam in the coming time.

On this occasion, he also extended an invitation to Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the province to attend the Israeli Conference of Mayors in November 2026.
