162nd birthday of Dr. Alexandre Yersin celebrated

The Association of Dr. Alexandre Yersin Admirers in Khanh Hoa Province organized a ceremony to celebrate the 162nd birthday of Dr. Alexandre Yersin (September 22, 1863 – September 22, 2025). 

Students receive scholarships at the ceremony.

Delegates commemorated and expressed gratitude for Dr. Alexandre Yersin's dedication and contributions to human medicine as well as his deep affection for Vietnamese people, especially those in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa; viewed documents and images about his life and watched a documentary highlighting his legacy and the activities of the Association of Dr. Alexandre Yersin Admirers.

On this occasion, the Association of Dr. Alexandre Yersin Admirers also expressed gratitude for the contributions of benefactors to the association's charity programs; launched its Association Branch in Ho Chi Minh City; and awarded 10 scholarships, worth VND 1 million each, to students of A. Yersin Suoi Dau High School and Yersin Nha Trang High School.

After the ceremony, delegates paid tribute to Dr. Alexandre Yersin with a visit to his office on Hon Ba (Suoi Dau Commune, Khanh Hoa Province) and offerings of incense and flowers.
