Students in Khanh Hoa Province, along with their peers nationwide, entered the new school year 2025 - 2026 on September 5. This year’s opening ceremony includes 2 parts, one at educational institutions and the other organized by the Ministry of Education and Training at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi, broadcast live on VTV1, and connected online with around educational institutions nationwide.
The 2025-2026 academic year is the first school year in which the education sector implements the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the National Assembly on the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2026-2030; the Resolution of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development; the Law on Teachers; the Resolution of the National Assembly on tuition exemption and support for preschool children, general education students, and learners of educational programs in the national education system; and the Resolution of the National Assembly on preschool education universalization for 3-5 year olds.
With the school year theme "Discipline, Creativity, Breakthrough and Development", the education sector has outlined key tasks and solutions to drive progress, including further refining education institutions and policies; improving the efficiency of State management of education; innovating school governance; continuing to innovate and improve the quality of preschool, general education, and continuing education; developing teaching staff and managers; optimizing the use of the State budget and mobilizing diverse investment resources to upgrade educational infrastructure; innovating political, ideological, ethical, and national defense–security education, alongside physical education and school health programs; promoting digital transformation and administrative reform in education, etc.
This school year, the province has 786 schools, including preschools, primary schools, high schools and 9 centers with 446,200 students; 4 universities, 1 academy, 2 university-affiliated campuses and training facilities, 7 colleges and 11 vocational high schools with more than 20,000 students.
