Inauguration of Road Project connecting North-South Expressway with National Highway 1 and Ca Na General Seaport

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held the inauguration ceremony for the road connecting the North-South Expressway with National Highway 1 and Ca Na General Seaport (Component 1) on September 20.

Present at the event were Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Tran Hoa Nam, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of local departments and localities together with residents from the 3 communes of Thuan Nam, Ca Na and Phuoc Ha. This project is to mark the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The project with a total investment of more than VND689 billion is divided into 2 component projects. The Component 1 construction, including the section from the North - South Expressway to National Highway 1, 10.14 km long, with an investment of more than VND428 billion, has been basically completed. Component 2 of the project, comprising the 12.86-kilometer section from National Highway 1 to Ca Na General Seaport, has officially commenced construction and is expected to be completed by December 2025.

Speaking at the ceremony, Tran Hoa Nam, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the road connecting the North - South Expressway with National Highway 1 and Ca Na General Seaport plays a very important role in advancing the development of the logistics and seaport systems, in alignment with Resolution No. 36-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018 of the Party Central Committee on the strategy for sustainable development of the marine economy; and concretizing the major objectives outlined in the provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
