Since merged from the 4 commune and ward youth union organizations, Dong Hai Ward Youth Union has implemented several practical and effective activities for members and young people. According to Nguyen Le Anh Thu, Vice-Chairperson of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Secretary of Dong Hai Ward Youth Union, although the area of operation is larger, the youth resources are more concentrated. Although the area of operation has expanded, youth resources have become more concentrated. Through the successful implementation of summer programs, the ward Youth Union has effectively engaged a large number of young people in the locality. Additionally, the Union has received enthusiastic support from former commune and ward Youth Union secretaries, contributing significantly to the success of volunteer initiatives and social security activities.
In Nha Trang Ward, the implementation of youth campaigns and volunteer activities has progressed favorably. According to Tran Long Hai, Deputy Secretary of Nha Trang ward Youth Union, since July, the ward Youth Union has jointly organized numerous practical activities such as implementing the youth project "green acts and clean tourism” toward sustainability at Bich Dam residential group; donating bicycles and school bags to youth and students; implementing the campaigns of Volunteer Saturday, Green Sunday with a large number of Youth Union members participating in environmental protection, clean-up on beaches and in residential areas. Through the activities, the role of Youth Union secretaries of residential groups has been effectively promoted, especially in fostering greater youth engagement.
In recent times, Youth activities have continued to be effectively implemented. In the past 2 months, the Provincial Youth Union has simultaneously deployed 2 activities in response to the Volunteer Saturday and Green Sunday with 100% of communes, wards and affiliations implementing tasks involving clean-up, aesthetic upgrades in public areas, monuments, historical sites, etc.; waste collection and treatment in residential areas, on roads, beaches; stream clearing and the elimination of "black spots" of pollution, contributing to a cleaner, greener community. Most recently, the provincial youth movement on August 24 attracted more than 3,000 Youth Union members, creating a ripple effect among the youth in the province.
Summer volunteer activities also include opening free English classes for students in mountainous areas, organizing summer activities for children, repairing 2.5km of rural roads; cleaning more than 10km of canals, offering many gifts to children in need and policy households. The criteria of the Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign were all achieved and exceeded, with more than 55,300 youth union members participating in volunteer activities; 382,500 new trees planted; 100% of communes and wards setting up at least 1 "Digital mass education " team, etc.
According to To Thi Tuyet Ngan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, the youth activities is also demonstrated through the 2025 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, which took place during the period of the operation of the two-tier local government system after the merger.
The youth in the province continued to promote the youth's enthusiasm and commitment in volunteer activities as well as new tasks, focusing on social issues meeting the actual needs in the localities, typically effectively providing support for people to carry out administrative procedures following the two-tier local government system.
In the coming time, the Provincial Youth Union and its affiliations will continue to innovate their operation to meet the current actual requirements; effectively operate the fanpages of the Youth Union to foster connection, promote outreach, provide education and guide young people; apply information technology and advance digital transformation in the management and operation; attract broader youth participation, contributing to enhancing the quality of youth activities.
