On September 22, Pasteur Nha Trang Institute celebrated its 130th anniversary of its foundation (September 22, 1895 - 2025). The event was attended by Assoc. Prof., PhD. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Deputy Minister of Health, along with leaders of several institutes and schools at home and abroad.

Established by Alexandre Yersin in 1985, Pasteur Nha Trang is the first place in Vietnam to produce plague serum. Over the past century, the institute has grown steadily, evolving into a leading institution under the Ministry of Health, spanning a wide range of fields from serum and vaccine production to disease prevention and control activities, national programs on vaccination, HIV/AIDS, environmental health, poisoning prevention and scientific research.
Nha Trang Pasteur Institute is also a pioneer in applying biotechnology, artificial intelligence, Big Data in epidemiological research and surveillance while expanding cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the Pasteur Institute Paris and several international partners in many fields. In addition, the institute has also played a central role in guiding professional standards, conducting training, and facilitating technology transfer throughout the central region and nationwide.
With its outstanding achievements, Nha Trang Pasteur Institute has been honored to receive many noble awards, namely Independence Medal, Class II (2014), Class III (2008); Labor Medal, Class I (2002), Class II (1997), Class III (1981); along with several emulation flags and certificates of merit by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Health, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa Province and various local authorities across the Central region.

At the ceremony, 3 groups of Nha Trang Pasteur Institute received certificates of merit by the Minister of Health for their outstanding achievements in the period 2023 - 2024. The Provincial Party Committee presented the banner "Democracy - Solidarity - Innovation - Development for the mission of public health care and protection". In addition, 1 group and 3 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in developing Nha Trang Pasteur Institute on the occasion of its 130th anniversary.
On this occasion, the Nha Trang Pasteur Institute signed memoranda of understanding with the Pasteur Institute of Laos and the Pasteur Institute of Cambodia, establishing cooperation across multiple fields.
