In September, 4 consecutive storms swept through the East Sea with Ragasa and Bualoi typhoons, causing severe impacts in many localities across the country. Especially, Bualoi caused massive losses in the Northern region and the Northern Central region.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee called for donations from local departments and agencies, businesses and organizations to help flood-hit residents to recover from the natural disaster.
