Khanh Hoa provincial delegation pays courtesy visit to Ulsan City government and visited Hyundai Heavy Industries (S.Korea)

Khanh Hoa provincial delegation led by Le Huyen, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, paid a courtesy visit to the government of Ulsan City (South Korea) on October 16. The delegation was welcomed by Kim Doo Gyum, Mayor of Ulsan.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Huyen expressed his appreciation for the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea in general and the cooperation between Khanh Hoa Province and Ulsan City in particular. He provided an overview of Khanh Hoa’s socio-economic development strategy and commended Ulsan City for signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening collaboration with the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee. Since its signing, both localities have actively pursued initiatives under the MoU, focusing on key areas such as tourism, culture, sports, people-to-people exchanges, and human resource training.

Vice Chairman Le Huyen also voiced his hope to broaden cooperation with Ulsan City in the economic sector. He encouraged Korean businesses to explore investment opportunities in Khanh Hoa and affirmed the province’s commitment to offering maximum support to the Korean government and enterprises, particularly in workforce recruitment.

Kim Doo Gyum reaffirmed Ulsan City's strong commitment to advancing local cooperation with Khanh Hoa Province, particularly in key areas such as tourism, culture, sports, people-to-people exchanges, and human resource and labor training. He pledged to enhance channels for information exchange, broaden collaborative activities, and promote investment, contributing to further strengthening the partnership between Vietnam and South Korea, and deepening the ties between Khanh Hoa and Ulsan in the years ahead.

On the same morning, the provincial delegation visited the shipyard of Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI). The delegation was given an overview of the Group's formation, development and strategic orientation in the fields of heavy industry, energy industry, oil refining, petrochemicals and marine engineering. Following the briefing, the delegation conducted a field survey of HHI’s production facilities and gained insights into the Group’s advanced industrial management systems.
