Employment demand increases by 5 -10%
According to Nguyen Thanh Xuan, based on the company’s latest survey, the labor market in Khanh Hoa province continued to experience positive developments in the fourth quarter. The strong recovery of key economic sectors, combined with effective coordination between labor supply and demand by relevant agencies and organizations, has generated numerous new job opportunities. Recruitment demand is expected to remain high in tourism, services, processing and manufacturing, and information technology. Additionally, synchronized implementation of support policies for unemployed workers, including vocational training and job placement, will help individuals quickly stabilize their livelihoods while meeting the evolving needs of businesses.
The survey show that the projected labor recruitment demand in the fourth quarter is expected to increase by 5 to 10% compared to the third quarter, focusing on several sectors such as processing and manufacturing industry (45.98%); wholesale and retail trade and repair of automobiles, motorcycles, and other motor vehicles (17%); construction (11.65%); transportation and warehousing (5.03%); financial, banking and insurance activities (4.87%); administrative and support service activities (4.26%); agriculture, forestry and fisheries (4.18%); and other sectors (7.02%). Labor demand is projected to be approximately 4.71% for workers with a university degree or higher, 5.93% for those with a college degree, 13.03% for vocationally trained workers, 5.19% for those with basic training, and 71.14% for unskilled labor.
Despite positive developments, the labor market continues to face several challenges, including a shortage of skilled workers, particularly in high-tech sectors, intensifying competition for human resources among localities, and rising demands for professional expertise and foreign language proficiency. To address future workforce needs, the provincial Employment Service Center will maintain close coordination with businesses, industrial parks, and clusters to collect and update data on actual recruitment demands. Efforts will also focus on enhancing the organization of job fairs and effectively implementing unemployment insurance policies in conjunction with job counseling, placement services, and vocational training programs, helping workers swiftly reintegrate into the labor market.
