SK Group (S.Korea) proposes specialized Energy Industrial Cluster project

Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and agencies had a working session on October 14  with SK Group (South Korea) to listen to the proposal of the Specialized Energy Industrial Cluster project, aiming to integrate advanced energy infrastructure with logistics development, thus driving regional economic growth.

At the meeting, SK Group representatives proposed 4 cooperation initiatives, including strategic logistics cooperation, financial investment, technology transfer and clean energy development. In addition, SK Group leaders also proposed specific solutions to develop projects at each stage.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Minh Hoang highly appreciated the SK Group’s cooperation and commitment to long-term investment, adding that the province is evaluating the bidding documents for the LNG power project in Ca Na. Once the bidding results are finalized, the province will develop a plan to implement the project or explore alternative solutions to attract additional LNG power investments in the area, including the proposal submitted by SK Group.

In addition, Trinh Minh Hoang hopes that SK Group will soon survey investment in the Van Phong area; and emphasized that the province will create the most favourable conditions for the group to invest in Khanh Hoa Province.
