Bracing for Storm Koto, sea ban imposed from 7am Nov. 28

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just imposed a sea ban in response to Storm Koto.

Accordingly, to ensure safety during the storm, the Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee ordered coastal authorities to ban all boats and ships, including tourist, transport, fishing, and other vessels, from operating at sea. The sea ban will start from 7am on November 28th until further notice.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Director of the Department of Construction, the Department of Fisheries and Islands to coordinate with coastal localities to closely monitor the storm tracking to proactively promptly notify fishermen when conditions allow a safe return to sea with appropriate operation plans.

Additionally, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the People's Committees of coastal communities and relevant agencies to direct organizations and individuals related to ship repair and building activities and other maritime transport activities to ensure strict implementation of disaster prevention, control, and search-and-rescue measures under the established plan.
