Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Toan checks Typhoon Kalmaegi response efforts in critical zones

On the afternoon of November 6, the Khanh Hoa provincial working group No. 1, led by Nguyen Khac Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, conducted an on-site inspection of Typhoon Kalmaegi response efforts in the wards of Nha Trang, Nam Nha Trang, Bac Nha Trang and Tay Nha Trang.

The working group conducted inspections in the areas of ​​Ky Vien Pagoda, Chut Mount residential area (Nha Trang Ward), the SOS Children's Village (Dac Loc village, Bac Nha Trang Ward); Phu Kieng Bridge, Luong Dinh Cua High School (Tay Nha Trang Ward); and Thanh Phat residential area (Nam Nha Trang Ward).

Local leaders reported the implementation of response measures to mitigate the effects of the typhoon. In areas at risk of severe flooding, local authorities have deployed forces to set up checkpoints, ready to assist residents and ensure the safety of vehicles; they have completed the evacuation to safe areas and are prepared to rescue and evacuate people when necessary.

During his inspection, Nguyen Khac Toan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, commended the localities for their proactive efforts. He urged ward leaders to continue prioritizing the safety of residents in critical areas, protecting lives and property.
