Dien Khanh Inter-regional Road Project: Set to commence on schedule

Khanh Hoa Provincial Management Board of Investment Projects for Agricultural and Transport Constructions is coordinating with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to speed up site clearance and procedural finalization for the Dien Khanh Inter-Regional Road Project by the year's end. The project is proposed by the Department of Construction to be registered to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Key project for investment

The Dien Khanh Inter-regional Road Project was approved by the Provincial People's Council on March 30, 2023, with a total capital of more than VND1,809 billion, to be implemented in the period of 2023 - 2027. The Component Project 1 (road construction) is invested by the Provincial Management Board of Investment Projects for Agricultural and Transport Constructions with a total investment of more than VND1,316 billion. Component Project 2 (site clearance in Nha Trang) has a total cost of nearly VND59 billion and Component Project 3 (site clearance in Dien Khanh) has a total cost of nearly VND435 billion, both invested by the Provincial Land Fund Development Center. This is identified as a key priority investment project for socio-economic development under the Resolution No. 42 of the Government promulgating the Action Program to implement Resolution No. 09 of the Politburo on construction and development of Khanh Hoa Province to 2030 vision to 2045.

The Dien Khanh Inter-regional Road Project starts at the intersection with Nguyen Luong Bang Street (north of Vinh Phuong Bridge, Bac Nha Trang Ward); and ends at the connection with Huong Lo 62 (in Dien Tho Commune). Designed to urban road standards, the route will feature a 30-meter-wide carriageway through existing residential areas, while sections outside residential zones will be constructed with four traffic lanes to ensure smooth regional connectivity.

Site clearance and handover accelerated

Reportedly, the Provincial Management Board of Investment Projects for Agricultural and Transport Constructions has completed the selection of construction contractors and construction supervision consultants for Component Project 1. The Project Management Board has sent a document requesting the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to develop a plan with a detailed schedule for site clearance of Project Component 3 for Dien Khanh District Inter-Regional Road Project, as a basis for site clearance; coordinate with the People's Committees of Dien, Dien Lac, Suoi Hiep, Dien Tho communes to carry out land handover procedures.

According to Cao Dinh Triet, Deputy Director of the Provincial Management Board of Investment Projects for Agricultural and Transport Constructions, the Board has requested the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to accelerate the site clearance for the construction commencement to welcome the 14th National Congress of the Party on December 19, 2025, as proposed by the Department of Construction.

According to Nguyen Minh Tuan, Deputy Director in charge of the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, the project component 3 of site clearance compensation in Dien Khanh for the Dien Khanh District Inter-regional Road Project has just had its feasibility study report approved by the Provincial People's Committee on October 31. Meanwhile, the feasibility study report for Component 2 of site clearance compensation in Nha Trang has not been approved yet. To ensure construction begins by year-end, the Center has directed regional branches to prepare a tentative clearance plan, coordinate with local authorities on the 16-step process, and work toward handing over the site to the investor on schedule.
