In the past 12 hours, the floodwater level on Cai River in Nha Trang has risen rapidly. The water level at 8:00 a.m. on November 17 reached 9.71m, above alert level 2 at Dong Trang Hydrological Station, and 5.6m, above alert level 3, at Dien Phu Station.
Floodwater levels are rising rapidly on the Cai Phan Rang River. At 8:00 a.m. on November 17, the water level at Tan My Hydrological Station reached 38.27 m, above alert level 3; and 3.21 m, above alert level 1 at Phan Rang Hydrological Station.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, the flood on Cai Nha Trang river will continue to rise and peak in the next 7-12 hours, at alert level 3 at Dong Trang Hydrological Station and above alert level 3 at Dien Phu Hydrological Station.
On Cai Phan Rang River, the flood will continue to rise and peak in the next 1-7 hours, with the peak above alert level 3 at Tan My Hydrological Station, and approximately at alert level 3 at Phan Rang Hydrological Station. Other rivers and streams in the province are expected to reach Alert Levels 2–3.
Authorities warn of ongoing heavy rain, flash floods, and landslides, urging residents to take immediate emergency precautions.
