Heartfelt meals for flood-stricken people
The Social Charity Board of Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Sangha in association with Ho Chi Minh City youth volunteer force has been organizing field kitchens to provide meals for people in the flooded areas. In addition to the main kitchen located at Nha Trang University, there are 2 more field kitchens in Dien Dien Commune and 1 kitchen in former Phu Yen Province. All the volunteers are happy to lend a helping hand to support the people in flooded areas. The kitchen serves both vegetarian and meat-based meals. These kitchens will be maintained until the lives of the local residents return to normal.
On the same day, a relief convoy from Ho Chi Minh City transporting 100 tonnes of goods and essential supplies, including rice, instant noodles, bottled water, blankets, mosquito nets, and 7,000 life jackets, arrived in Khanh Hoa. The aid was gathered at Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command to prepare for distribution to the people in need.
