Provincial leaders visit victims of landslides at Khanh Son and Khanh Le Passes

On November 17, Le Huyen, Vice-Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee, visited victims of the landslide at Khanh Son Pass on the evening of November 16 who are being treated at Cam Ranh Regional General Hospital.

Also this morning, Tran Hoa Nam, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, visited victims of the landslides at both Khanh Son and Khanh Le Passes, currently receiving treatment at Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital.

During the visits, provincial leaders inquired about the patients’ health, offered words of encouragement and presented gifts. They also requested hospital doctors to devote their full efforts to treatment and expressed hope that the patients’ health would stabilize soon.

Earlier, at around 6:00 p.m. on November 16, at Tuong Vy stream area on Khanh Son Pass (Provincial Road 9) in Cam An Commune, a serious landslide occurred, burying 3 people and injuring 7 others. Later that night, at 10:30 p.m., a tour bus traveling on Khanh Le Pass was struck by rocks and soil from a landslide, causing severe damage to the vehicle, killing six passengers and injuring 19 others.

Reportedly, the health of some victims has stabilized and they are expected to be discharged in the next few days.
