On November 19, heavy to very heavy rain is forecast to persist across the province. From now until the early morning of November 21, Khanh Hoa will continue to experience moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms. During thunderstorms, there is a risk of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
In the sea areas of Khanh Hoa and the Truong Sa (Spratly Island) special zone, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected with northeast winds reaching level 6, with gusts at levels 7 to 8. It is forecasted there will be rough sea with coastal waves from 1 - 3.5m high; offshore waves from 3 - 5m high; and Truong Sa special zone waves from 3 - 5m high.
Authorities advise residents to remain vigilant, closely monitor weather updates, and take necessary precautions to ensure safety during this period of heavy rain and flooding.
