Federation Council of Russian Federal Assembly visits Khanh Hoa

Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, chaired a reception on December 3 for the delegation of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly led by Andrey Vladimirovich Yatskin, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly.

Present at the event were Lam Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Khac Ha, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; members in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial People's Committee and local departments and agencies.

Andrey Vladimirovich Yatskin conveyed his condolences to the government and people of Khanh Hoa Province for the losses and damages caused by the recent floods, and affirmed that Russia is willing to provide support during the reconstruction process. He also highlighted key aspects of Vietnam–Russia cooperation, noting that Khanh Hoa possesses many advantages for fostering friendly relations with Russian localities.

Nghiem Xuan Thanh warmly welcomed Andrey Vladimirovich Yatskin and the delegation to Khanh Hoa, expressing gratitude for their encouragement to the provincial government and people after the disaster. He also outlined the province’s strengths and development strategies, and expressed hope for Russia’s support in strengthening cooperation between Khanh Hoa and Saint Petersburg. This would help effectively implement the signed agreements between the two localities in areas such as economy, science and technology, culture, society, and education. He further encouraged the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly to promote Khanh Hoa’s potentials, strengths, tourist destinations, development orientations, and investment opportunities to the Russian business community.
