Groundbreaking of Van Thang resettlement area project - stage 1

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee held the groundbreaking ceremony for Van Thang resettlement area project - stage 1 on December 19 morning. This is one of 5 projects in the province selected to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party. 

Attending the event were Le Huu Tri, Executive Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa Province, and Nguyen Thanh Ha, Vice-Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.

According to the approved plan, Van Thang resettlement area project covers an area of 99.89 hectares in Van Thang Commune and Tu Bong Commune, serving the resettlement needs of approximately 6,500 to 7,000 people. Van Thang resettlement area project - stage 1 is invested by Khanh Hoa Provincial Development Project Management Board, covering 70.14 hectares with a total investment of VND1,385 billion, providing housing for about 5,822 people with approximately 1,446 resettlement plots.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Ha affirmed that the groundbreaking of Van Thang resettlement area project - stage 1 is a significant political, economic and social event. It shows Khanh Hoa Province's determination to complete infrastructure for site clearance, ensure the legitimate rights, stabilize livelihood, and improve quality of life for residents in the project area.

At the ceremony, construction contractors presented funds to the fund for the poor of Van Thang Commune and Tu Bong Commune, with each locality receiving VND50 million.
