Building environment for students to develop and thrive

In recent years, the student campaign organized by the Vietnam Students’ Association of Khanh Hoa Province at all levels has been implemented effectively, creating opportunities for students to develop comprehensively. The campaign has contributed to building a friendly, healthy educational environment, affirming the role of dynamic young intellectuals committed to contributing to society.

Various activities

According to Huynh Thi Nhu Y, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union and Chairperson of the Provincial Students’ Association, the Provincial Students’ Association currently has 7 affiliations with a total of over 25,700 members. The Provincial Association at all levels has focused on creating an environment for developing intellectual, physical and skill-based abilities together with the education of revolutionary ideals through political activities, attracting the participation of many students such as the Revolutionary Song Propaganda Festival, Khanh Hoa students towards the Homeland's Sea and Islands 2025; and Healthy Student Day in the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Five-Virtue Student campaign has been identified as a core initiative, fostering comprehensive student development. To enhance its quality, the provincial Students’ Association has updated selection criteria tailored to each school’s conditions, with activities designed to meet students’ needs.

One outstanding example of this campaign is the "Five-Virtue Student" Club of the Vietnam Student Association at Nha Trang University. The club was established to motivate students to fulfill the five criteria of ethics, learning, physical fitness, volunteering, and integration. Over four years of operation, the club has organized several programs such as exchanges with foreign students in Khanh Hoa; talk shows on AI (artificial intelligence); scientific research, etc.

“The Five-Virtue Student" Club has supported me a lot in learning and self-improvement with many soft skills, communication skills, knowledge enhancement, and foreign language skills... The university's Student Association has also organized sports activities, exchanges between Vietnamese and Lao students, creating opportunities to strengthen health, friendship and mutual learning, said Le Hoang Anh Quan, a student major in Biotechnology and Environment at Nha Trang University, who was recently honored as a "Five-Virtue Student” at the provincial level for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Besides, the association at all levels has created intellectual playgrounds in the field of learning and scientific research, such as: "English Olympiad for High School and University Students"; 100% of students in the province with access to digital skills, online public services and e-payments...

Promoting students’ role in the community.

Social welfare and support activities for students in difficult circumstances are regularly maintained by the association at all levels. During the 2024-2025 academic year, the association mobilized numerous scholarships, awards, and preferential loans for disadvantaged students, totaling VND420 million, reflecting the gratitude of Khanh Hoa’s youth toward the military rear support.

Furthermore, the Students’ Association at universities has organized meaningful and practical volunteer activities for students in various fields, including new rural and urban development, free medical check-ups, Volunteer Saturdays and Green Sundays, and blood donation drives. In 2024–2025, they organized 28 environmental programs, 21 Volunteer Saturday and Green Sunday events, 31 teams supporting the High School Graduation exam, and 21 Green Summer volunteer teams.

The Association has also supported students in job search and business start-up through many practical activities. In the 2024-2025 academic year, the Provincial Students' Association organized job fairs, connecting students with businesses, offering vocational counseling and job recommendations to over 9,000 students.

Huynh Thi Nhu Y affirmed, "Over the past time, the Provincial Student Union has successfully fulfilled its role, creating an environment for student care and development, and helping students in Khanh Hoa grow more confident and capable. These achievements provide a solid foundation for the Vietnam Student Union of Khanh Hoa Province to further promote creativity, innovation, and improve the quality of activities, honoring the glorious 76-year tradition of Vietnamese students.”
