Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, had a working session on January 8 with the Korean Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (KOCHAM). Present at the event were Tran Hoa Nam, Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of departments and agencies; Ko Tae Yeon, Chairman of KOCHAM, representatives of Korean businesses investing in Khanh Hoa; and the Tax Attaché of the Korean Embassy in Vietnam.

At the meeting, KOCHAM Chairman Ko Tae Yeon highly appreciated the potential and strengths of Khanh Hoa Province. Over the past period, KOCHAM has discussed economic development cooperation and investment with Vietnamese and Khanh Hoa leaders. In this new development phase, Khanh Hoa has identified industry as one of the four pillars of growth, and the province is implementing many key projects in energy, infrastructure, and industrial park development. These factors create a strong attraction for Korean businesses. KOCHAM expressed the hope to continue receiving the province's support for Korean businesses in strengthening exchanges, cooperation and attracting FDI.
Nghiem Xuan Thanh welcomed KOCHAM to Khanh Hoa to explore opportunities for cooperation and investment, emphasizing the province’s many potentials and advantages. He highlighted four key strengths: industry, energy, tourism and services, as well as urban development and construction. Among these, industry, industrial infrastructure, and energy are priority areas where the province particularly hopes to attract Korean businesses.
To boost investment, Khanh Hoa has recently issued investment certificates for three major industrial parks. The provincial leader expressed high appreciation for the efforts and contributions of Korean investors, and pledged to ensure the most favorable conditions in terms of land clearance, investment procedures, policies, infrastructures and human resources.

Khanh Hoa Province has been designated to develop into a national energy center. Nghiem Xuan Thanh expressed his hope that, in the future, more South Korean enterprises will invest in the province’s energy, port, and maritime transport sectors. After the Lunar New Year holiday, the province plans to hold a meeting with KOCHAM and other South Korean businesses to strengthen cooperation further. On the occasion of the upcoming Vietnamese Lunar New Year, Nghiem Xuan Thanh extended his best wishes to Korean businesses.
