On January 6, the Naval Region 4 organized a voyage to deliver New Year gifts from the mainland to the Spratly Islands (Truong Sa). Essential supplies, together with festive flower trees such as apricot, peach and kumquat, were carefully prepared and secured for the long journey across hundreds of nautical miles of rough seas. These gifts carried not only necessities but also the vibrant spirit of spring, bringing warmth and festive cheer to the remote islands. The New Year gifts have shown the great concern and affection of the Party, the State and people for soldiers and residents on the far-off islands.

Present at the see-off ceremony were Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan, Commander of Naval Region 4.
The solemn and heartwarming farewell ceremony was organized by the Provincial People's Committee and the Command of Naval Region 4. From early morning, Cam Ranh Naval Port bustled with convoys delivering Tet gifts to be loaded onto ships. Young soldiers carefully wrapped apricot, peach and kumquat trees to ensure their blossoms and leaves remained intact upon arrival.
This New Year, the ships continued to deliver hundreds of tons of goods and Tet gifts to soldiers and residents in the Truong Sa Special Zone. In addition to daily necessities, there were also many New Year gifts such as sticky rice, sweets, orchids, apricot blossoms, peach blossoms, kumquats, etc. from localities, businesses and residents nationwide and overseas Vietnamese.
In a solemn and warm atmosphere, Phạm Thanh Liêm, Chairman of the People’s Committee of the Trường Sa Special Zone and head of the delegation, affirmed his determination to fulfill the mission successfully and ensure the safe delivery of these gifts to the islands.

Speaking at the farewell ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong emphasized that the trip to visit and deliver New Year gifts to soldiers and residents on the islands in the Truong Sa Special Zone is an annual activity, reflecting profound affection and reinforcing the enduring bond between the mainland and the distant islands.
The Party Committee, government, and residents of Khánh Hòa Province continue to serve as a steadfast rear base, offering both spiritual and material support to the military and people on the islands. This strong backing enables them to carry out their duties with peace of mind while contributing to the protection of national maritime sovereignty. The leader confidently affirmed that the delegations would overcome hardships to successfully fulfill their assigned mission.

Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan, Commander of Naval Region 4, stated that the mission to deliver goods and Tet gifts to Truong Sa affirms the great concern of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and people nationwide, as well as overseas Vietnamese, for the sacred sea and islands of the country.
Ahead of the Lunar New Year, with solid preparation and the resolve of naval soldiers, the Commander of Naval Region 4 is confident they will overcome challenges and complete the mission safely.
