Every autumn, as the red national flag fills the streets, Vietnamese people reflect with deep emotion on the historic milestone of September 2, 1945. Eighty-one years ago, at Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh proclaimed the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, affirming to the nation and the world a sacred truth: the right to govern the country now belonged to its people.

Over time, the enduring value of the Declaration of Independence has continued to shine. Generations of Vietnamese people have united to build a peaceful, independent nation, overcoming poverty and backwardness. Guided by the diplomacy policy of multilateralism, flexibility, and steadfastness, the country has mobilized domestic and international resources for socio-economic growth, elevating its global standing and prestige to new heights.
We are entering a new era of national resurgence and prosperous development. Despite a rapidly changing and unpredictable global landscape, our country remains steadfast in asserting its new stature. The strength of great national unity has once again been powerfully mobilized; under the leadership of the Party and the administration of the State, Vietnam now possesses a streamlined, effective political system that places the people at its center, building a government dedicated to serving citizens in the digital age.
In step with the nation’s momentum, Khanh Hoa, renowned for agarwood, salanganes’ nests, and diverse high-tech agricultural specialties, is undergoing a powerful transformation. After more than a year and a half under the two-tier local government model, the province has achieved a breakthrough in streamlining its administrative apparatus; management has become more seamless and efficient. This progress has strengthened public and business confidence, fostering consensus between the Party’s vision and the people’s aspirations.
Despite challenges in the first eight months of 2026, Khanh Hoa’s economy recorded notable gains: budget revenue reached an estimated VND 34,521 billion (up 29.56% year-on-year); the industrial production index rose by 7.83%; and 1,964 new enterprises were established (up by 16.57%), with registered capital totaling VND 18,678 billion. Total state budget investment for development under local management climbed to VND 9,607.8 billion (up 38.24%); retail sales and consumer service revenue reached VND 156,865.2 billion (up by 19.22%); tourism generated VND 60,893.1 billion (up by 19.16%); and export turnover hit USD 1,737.1 million (up by 6.22%). Living standards have improved, with families of revolutionary contributors receiving attentive care. By the end of 2025, the poverty rate stood at just 3.35%, significantly lower than the regional average of 5.17%.
Khanh Hoa is confidently shaping its future strategy. The province has finalized the adjustment of its master plan for the 2021–2030 period with a vision to 2050; simultaneously, it is refining the urban master plan extending to 2050 with a vision to 2075 and preparing strategic projects. These initiatives are creating an integrated strategic landscape that links the key growth areas of Van Phong, the Nha Trang–Cam Lam–Cam Ranh, and the Phan Rang–Ninh Chu–Ca Na. This reflects Khanh Hoa’s ambition to establish a new national growth pole, unlocking its exceptional potential in the marine economy, urban development, industry, energy, and logistics.
With its steadfast revolutionary tradition and aspiration for new heights, Khanh Hoa is striving to become a centrally governed city, a modern marine economic hub, and a key growth pole for the South Central Coast and Central Highlands.
Independence Day arrives, carrying the spirit of victory that empowers Khanh Hoa to soar confidently to new heights, advancing alongside the nation in the proud Era of National Rise.
