Cao Pham Cuong, Chairman of Farmers’ Association of Khanh Son District said breeding in Khanh Son District has developed well in quantity and quality. The total number of animals and poultry in the district is nearly 100,000 including 8,000 oxen and buffaloes, 12,000 pigs and 80,000 domestic fowls. Agricultural programs have helped improve the breeding in the locality.
Besides, over the past 3 years, farmers in Khanh Son District have grown 1,500 ha of fruit trees of high economic value such as durians, “nghe” jackfruits, rambutans, etc. Up to June 2009, the district has cultivated 350 ha of wet rice and 3,000 ha of forest under Program 132.
