Owning to the favourable weather and sea current, fishermen in Nha Trang these days have a bumper crop of yellow-stripe anchovies.
On an average, tens of tonnes of yellow-stripe anchovies are caught and put ashore at two fishing ports of Vinh Truong and Cua Be in Nha Trang each day. It is currently selling at VND6,000 per kilogram at the fishing ports.
Dried yellow-stripe anchovy is a favourite export. Price of one kilogram of dried yellow-stripe anchovy is between 3.3 - 3.5 USD.
